Just bought this album, it’s the first album I heard from Placebo and is still my favourite even after I listened to all the others so I had to get this one on vinyl. Plus, my favorite song from the band is there at the end of side A (because I want you).

It was recorded from late 2005 to early 2006 and released on 13 March 2006 by record label Virgin in most countries, although it was released three days earlier in Australia and New Zealand. Illegal copies had previously been available on the Internet since 17 January 2006. After the huge global success of their singles collection, Once More With Feeling, Placebo return with their 5th studio album Meds. It is their first studio album since 2004's Sleeping With Ghosts which went Top 10 in the UK and sold 1.4 million copies worldwide. Following the band's 2004 hits collection, Once More with Feeling which closed with the lean "Twenty Years," the then-new and brilliant single Meds strips Placebo down anew, focusing on guitars, Molko's high-pitched vocals, Stefan Olsdal s bounding bass, and drummer Steve Hewitt s determined, hard-hitting thwack.
